Anita Yusof, originally from Batu Pahat, Johor, is a Malaysian adventurer, author, and lecturer renowned for her courage, endurance, and spirit of exploration. She is the first Muslim woman to ride solo around the world and the first Malaysian inducted into the Asia Book of Records for the longest solo motorcycle ride. Her journeys inspire people worldwide to embrace resilience, face challenges, and pursue their dreams.
Anita’s journey began in 2012, when she learned to ride a motorcycle after years of backpacking. Just three years later, she embarked on her first Global Dream Ride, departing Putrajaya on September 11, 2015, and riding through 40 countries across four continents, covering more than 65,000 km on her Yamaha FZ150i. She completed the ride a year later, earning recognition in the Malaysian Guinness World Records as the first woman to circumnavigate the globe solo by motorcycle.
Not stopping there, Anita launched her second Global Dream Ride in 2019, aiming to ride across all seven continents and 81 countries. Over six years, she faced extreme weather, challenging terrains, mechanical issues, and bureaucratic hurdles from Alaska’s icy roads to deserts in Africa, floods in Sumatra, and even Antarctica. Fully self-funded with close to RM400,000, she completed this monumental journey in late 2025, cementing her place as one of the world’s most accomplished solo motorcyclists.
Throughout her travels, Anita has demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and determination, overcoming both physical and mental obstacles while inspiring others to step beyond their comfort zones. She has also worked as a global ambassador for Givi Italy, represented Malaysia in Levi’s “I Shape My World” campaign, and published her books, including Kembara Solo Stans Asia Tengah and the Global Dream Ride series, with a portion of proceeds going to underprivileged children in the countries she visits.
