Through our extensive global network, we have access to thousands of thought leaders, industry experts, and influential speakers worldwide, including many who may not be publicly listed on our site. If you have a specific speaker in mind, we would be happy to explore the possibility of securing them for your event.

What is the process for booking a speaker?

Make an enquiry and let us know as much as you can about the event you are planning; objectives, audience demographic, budget, theme, and the type of speaker you are looking for. We will then suggest speakers that are appropriate and within budget. Once you have chosen your shortlist, we check that the speaker is interested and available. At this point, you decide which speaker you would like to book, and we will send you a booking form to complete.

 

Will the speaker customise their presentation for my event?

Many of our speakers tailor their presentations to align with your event objectives, audience, and key themes. We work closely with you and the speaker to ensure they are properly briefed on your goals and messaging, creating a more relevant and impactful session. For clients seeking a more interactive experience, we can also recommend speakers who specialise in workshops and highly engaging presentation formats.  

How far in advance should I book a speaker?

We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly for high-profile speakers whose schedules fill up months in advance. While many engagements are secured 3–6 months ahead, we can also assist with last-minute requests where availability permits.

Do you provide support after we book a speaker through you?

Yes, our support extends well beyond the booking itself. We work closely with both you and the speaker to ensure everything runs smoothly leading up to the event. This includes providing the necessary speaker materials for your event promotion, coordinating pre-event briefings, and managing all logistical arrangements to ensure the speaker is fully prepared and arrives ready to deliver a successful session. 

 

What happens if our booked speaker has to cancel because of an emergency?

In the unlikely event of a speaker being unable to attend (such as a sudden emergency, flight cancellation, or unforeseen circumstance), we will, where possible, offer you a comparable alternative speaker. If that alternative is not acceptable, we will refund your payments in full.  

 

Can we record the speech?

You must request permission in advance to record part or all of a speaker’s speech (via the bureau). Most speakers will allow a recording if it is strictly for internal use, provided they receive a copy for no additional charge; a few do charge for this. If you wish to make a recording for commercial/external reasons, this can be arranged, but the speaker will require a further payment. Some speakers will not allow a recording due to copyright, and for these speakers, cameras must be turned off.

What can I expect on the day of the event?

Prior to the event, we will share a detailed briefing to ensure you have all the key information about your speaker and session. On the day itself, you can expect a seamless experience — with the speaker arriving well-prepared, on time, and ready to deliver an engaging and impactful presentation tailored to your audience. Our team remains on hand throughout to ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

What standard expenses should I budget for when booking a speaker?

Beyond the baseline speaking fee, an event budget typically covers travel expenses (which generally consist of business-class airfare), accommodation, ground transfers, meals, and incidentals.

Does booking through a speaker bureau cost more?

Not at all. Our bureau services are entirely free for event planners. Because speakers pay the bureau a standard commission directly out of their established fee, you receive expert guidance, unbiased recommendations, hands-on event coordination, and logistics support, all at no additional cost to you. 

How are a speaker’s fees calculated?

Speaking fees vary based on three primary factors:

  • High-profile figures: such as bestselling authors, high profile economist, celebrities, and leading industry experts, command premium rates.
  • Standard keynote presentations generally cost less than intensive half-day or full-day programs.
  • Virtual events or local engagements that eliminate travel requirements are almost always priced lower.
