David Hardoon is a leading voice on data, AI, and responsible innovation, with over 23 years of experience spanning senior management, government, academia, and the boardroom. He brings a rare combination of technical depth and real-world leadership, having shaped national AI strategy, run global data functions, and served as CEO of a multi-sector data innovation company.

David was the first Chief Data Officer and Head of the Data Analytics Group at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), where he went on to become Special Advisor on Artificial Intelligence. In this role, he led the development of Singapore's financial sector AI strategy and pioneered the Fairness, Ethics, Accountability and Transparency (FEAT) principles — among the first regulatory guidelines of their kind globally — as well as the MAS-backed Veritas consortium.

He has held senior leadership roles including Global Head of AI at Standard Chartered, CEO of Aboitiz Data Innovation, and Group Chief Data and AI Officer at UnionBank of the Philippines. He has also advised Singapore's Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau and Central Provident Fund Board on AI and data science strategy.

David holds a PhD in Computer Science (Machine Learning) from the University of Southampton and a First Class Honours degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from Royal Holloway, University of London. He is the author of The AI Failure Handbook and continues to advise organisations globally as an Independent Non-Executive Director, board advisor, and AI governance expert.
