Christina Mei Mei Ng is a Malaysian designer, entrepreneur and the Founder of Christy Ng, a homegrown fashion brand established in 2010 specialising in women’s footwear, handbags and accessories.

What began as a small business from her home living room has evolved into a growing regional fashion brand. Starting with just RM10,000 of her life savings, Christy built the business from the ground up, initially selling her shoes online, from her car boot and at flea markets. Her entrepreneurial journey was shaped by a personal experience of struggling to find footwear that was both comfortable and affordable, inspiring her to create stylish, functional products designed with the needs of modern women in mind.

Under her leadership, Christy Ng has grown from its first retail store in Malaysia into an expanding Southeast Asian presence. By the end of September 2026, the brand is expected to operate 27 stores across four markets  - 16 in Malaysia, 7 in Indonesia, 3 in the Philippines and 1 in Cambodia - alongside an e-commerce platform serving a global audience. The brand continues to differentiate itself through customisation and personalisation, which have been central to its design philosophy.

Beyond building a successful fashion business, Christy’s journey is one of resilience, determination and challenging conventional expectations. From a home-based start-up to a regional retail brand, she brings an authentic perspective on entrepreneurship, women in business, resilience, innovation, customer-centricity and building a brand from the ground up.
