PROFILE

Gautam Ramdurai is a global strategist, invited all over the world to address leaders on topics of innovation, technology, leadership, strategy, and culture. With an interdisciplinary background spanning continents and industries, Gautam brings a unique perspective to his work, having lived and worked in India, the USA, the UK and Singapore.

He spent 13 years at Google, working across Android, YouTube, Google AI, Chrome, and Cloud. He started as a strategist at the esteemed Google Creative Lab, then became Insights Lead for Pop Culture and Gaming in North America. From there he led marketing and business development teams across Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, growing every major business line at Google and YouTube across multiple continents.

As a polymath who senses where the signals of consumer behaviour, culture, technology and the social sciences intersect, he founded snowbird, a global strategy practice, to put those signals to work on complex business problems. This boundary-crossing ability to spot what others miss makes him a trusted advisor to senior leaders at companies ranging from Japanese real-estate developers to Swedish energy firms.

To maintain the rigor of his strategic practice, Gautam only accepts a selective number of keynote invitations annually.

Gautam has delivered keynotes at TEDx, HubSpot Connect, the 4As Strategy Festival, Bridge Conference, and the European Startup Festival. He has also spoken and facilitated for VCU, Hyper Island, and NTU. The Financial Times, Harvard Business Review, and Bloomberg have all featured his work, from his letters on generational shifts across the US, EU, and Asia to interviews on emerging consumer behaviour. He often writes about how the intersection of culture, technology, and geopolitics shapes the currents of business in his newsletter, flyways.

In a world overloaded with data, Gautam sees the invisible shifts outside a business that become a leader’s blindspot. Next time your leaders come together, book him to show them what they’re missing. Because when everything is connected to everything, what happens outside your industry writes its next chapter.

TOPICS

THE CULTURE RUNNING YOUR AI

For C-Suites approving AI budgets they think are technology decisions, but are actually cultural ones. AI is a labor, energy, and culture decision wearing a technology costume. Attitudes to AI have split cleanly across the Pacific, and that split already proves how culture shapes trust. Gautam published an AI paper before he had graduated from college. He built a $1B+ pipeline across Asia Pacific for Google’s own AI. He has built, sold and understood this technology himself, so he can tell you exactly what it won’t fix.

SHIFTS IN CULTURE YOUR BUSINESS IS BLIND TO

For leaders stuck thinking inside their own industry’s blind spots. The shifts doing the most damage are the ones missing from your board agenda. Tech, geopolitics, and culture pull against each other constantly, and solving for one while ignoring the rest means solving the wrong problem. Those cultural patterns shaped the strategies that Gautam used to grow more than 30 businesses and products across Google and YouTube.

THE GENERATIONAL GAP SHAPING CULTURE

For CEOs and CHROs who say, in different dialects, “we don’t understand our young people.” Your youngest employees and your youngest customers are the same problem. Gen Z is the first generation behaving the same way worldwide, and quiet quitting isn’t laziness, it’s rebellion against ambitions pre-built for them. Gautam has watched this generational shift play out at different speeds across the US, EU, and Asia, and is now researching how it’s reshaping the future of work and life.
