Anita Woo is Malaysia’s leading female English newsanchor on television who presents the local and world news at midnight on TV3’s Nightline, as well as the evening business bulletin Biz World.

In her work, Anita has interviewed an array of guests on the bulletin, ranging from economists to athletes and field experts relevant to the nation’s current affairs. Intelligent and energetic, Anita made waves as the youngest newsanchor on Malaysian television when she first joined TV3 four years ago at age 23.

Anita was also anchor on NTV7’s Malaysia Votes, covering the most controversial Malaysian elections to date.

Interestingly, it is Ms. Woo’s hobby that has earned more international coverage. Anita is the first female athlete in South-East Asia to have earned medals in the upcoming sport of Horseback Archery. She earned medals two years consecutively, representing Malaysia at the World Horseback Archery Championships in the moving target event. Having competed in the USA, South Korea, Jordan and Japan, her passion in the sport has since been highlighted over the History Channel and Discovery Channel, regionally.

Having briefly trained under Lorraine Hahn, this dynamic personality aspires to anchor her own current affairs talk show, much akin to Talk Asia and Amanpour.
