[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=""]Brian McBride is one of Europe’s foremost digital business leaders. He serves as Chairman of Trainline plc, an Independent Non-Executive member of the Public Interest Committee at KPMG UK, and Senior Adviser at Scottish Equity Partners. 

McBride served as President of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) from 2022 to 2024 and previously served as Lead Non-Executive Director on the Defence Board of the UK Ministry of Defence. He is best known for his transformational leadership as CEO of Amazon UK (2006–2011) where he grew revenues from £3bn to £5bn and oversaw the launches of Prime and Marketplace, and as Chairman of ASOS plc (2012–2018), scaling the online fashion giant to £2.4bn in global turnover. 

Prior to Amazon, McBride held senior leadership positions at IBM, Xerox, Dell, and served as UK Managing Director of T-Mobile, where he oversaw its 3G launch. His non-executive and advisory experience span major public and corporate entities, including board positions at the BBC, Celtic Football Club, Computacenter, SThree, and the UK Government’s Digital Advisory Board, which steered the digital delivery of public services. 

Drawing four decades at the forefront of tech and retail disruption, McBride regularly advises and speaks on digital transformation, consumer trends, and corporate leadership. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (FRSE) and holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Glasgow.
