Leon Jala is an award-winning brand strategist, business leader and podcast host with over a decade of experience in marketing, strategic communications, transformation and leadership.
Currently serving as Group CEO of PEMANDU Group, Leon oversees the organisation's strategy and operations across its consulting, government delivery, trading and investment businesses. He pioneered PEMANDU's marketing and communications practice and has played a key role in high-impact transformation initiatives, including Malaysia's Economic Transformation Programme (ETP), Government Transformation Programme (GTP), and Nigeria's Economic Recovery and Growth Plan.
Alongside his corporate leadership, Leon serves as a lay pastor and worship leader at Holy Trinity Bukit Bintang Church, where he continues to mentor and develop leaders within the community.
A third-culture kid of Kelabit-Chinese heritage, Leon's diverse upbringing - spanning Malaysia, the Netherlands, Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom has shaped his global perspective, adaptability, and deep interest in understanding different ways of thinking and leading.
He holds a B.A. in Media Arts from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a B.A. (Hons) in Theology from St. Paul's Theological College.
Leon is also the founder and host of The Game of Impossible, a podcast exploring leadership, business and transformation through conversations with prominent leaders and changemakers.
A former award-winning copywriter, he brings a unique blend of strategic thinking, creative communication and leadership experience to every stage. He is also a husband, father of two, and a passionate advocate for embracing new challenges.
