Beatrice is a Professor of Economics at the University of Mainz and until recently was a member of the German Council of Economic Experts, the group of five experts which advises the German government on economic policy and development.

As a result of her work at some of the world’s leading institutions, she is recognised as a global authority on economic policy and is considered one of Germany’s “Wise Men”. Beatrice worked at the IMF, the World Bank and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. She is a member of the Board of Directors at a number of major corporates including Roche and UBS AG and is on the advisory board of the IMF, the EBRD and Fiscal Crisis Chair at the World Economic Forum. Beatrice holds visiting positions at a number of prestigious academic institutions and is widely published in specialist journals. Drawing on her considerable expertise, Beatrice offers decision makers crucial information and insights into European financial policy, current trends in the world's economy and the ramifications of an expending Europe on financial markets around the globe.
