Lee Hunter just stepped down as Head of Marketing Strategy & Innovation and Head of Creative Partnerships for Google across Asia Pacific. Lee is an expert on creativity, innovation and big digital ideas.
At Google he partnered with leading agencies and brands across the region to collaborate on innovative digital projects, helping redefine what’s possible using the power of the web. He was leading a team responsible for incubating and launching innovative campaigns, building insights, strategy and creativity to drive growth. His projects include new creative and strategies to bring the next 200 million people online in South-East Asia, developing a Google Play mobile eSport initiative for
Korea, Japan and Taiwan, and running strategy & innovation workshop throughout the region with Google marketers and external partners. He also drives creative partnership including Google's global search partnership with Marvel on the launch of Captain America: Civil War, and producing a feature film with Ridley Scott about how technology is revolutionizing and disruptive India.
Before taking on this role, Lee held several key positions within YouTube, including Head of Global Brand & Creative where he created and executive produced the YouTube Music Awards, Executive Producer of YouTube Comedy Week, and YouTube Geek Week. He was also YouTube Head of Consumer Marketing, EMEA, where he was responsible for consumer and partner marketing strategy for the YouTube brand. He represented YouTube at the World Economic Forum for the Davos Debates, and spoke on behalf of the organization across EMEA and APAC.
Lee is a regular speaker on the international conference circuit, talking on digital innovation for brands such as Cathay Pacific, Kia, Hyundai, Lenovo and LG. He’s presented at various top tier universities around the world, including the London Business School, and has appeared on the BBC and CNN talking about innovation and trends in video and what’s next in digital.
